In memorial of Ken and Ethel Stark. Ken left us on August 10, 2007. Ken was one of the founding members of the Clay County Cruisers and Vice President for the first several years of the Club's existance. Ethel followed on November 14, 2010. Ethel was a dedicated member of the Cruisers both by her help during shows and committment during the meetings. We will miss you both but know you are keeping an eye on us.

Mike Genthe's 1972 Monte Carlo

72 Monte Carlo

This is my 1972 Monte Carlo. This car is equipped with a 350 cubic inch engine, a 350 TurboHydromatic automatic transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The exterior color is, (or will be), GM code 26 Bright Blue Metalic and the interior, if I get it back in, will be also blue, code 725. As options are concerned the car is fitted with power steering, and power brakes, A/C, and AM/FM stereo.

I am in the process of restoring this car for the last 8 years, because this is the exact car that my wife and I had our first date back in May of 1975. I sold the car in 1976 and my wife re-purchased the car and gave it to me as a Christmas present in 2006. The car was still owned by the same people that I sold it to back in '76, so now I am the 2nd and 4th owner of the Monte Carlo.

Over the last 8 years I have been conducting a frame off restoration and the progress can be seen at Mike's '72 Monte Carlo Restoration
